Is a Pantomime for 7men & 4women main characters with two choruses, in 2 Acts and 18 scenes, Using 9 Sets, Featuring 13 songs, Taking place in Seventeenth Century America

This pantomime is all that you would expect from the quintessential entertainment for the festive season. It has songs; it has dancing, comedy, slapstick routines, heroines, heroes, bumbling characters, villains and the triumph of good over evil.

The Cast is:- Poachontas (principle girl) – John Smith (principle boy, army captain) – Maw (dame) – Paw (a bear, non speaking) – Japazaws (the villain, fire god, renegade Indian, pirate) – Little-Wampum (? age, Pocahontas’ brother) – Wheels (any age, co-owner of a stagecoach company) – Gofar (any age, co-owner of a stagecoach company) – Babbling-Water (a young girl) – Petty Officer Brook (a young man) – Captain Samuel Argall (middle aged man, sea captain) – Hocus-Pocus (middle aged woman, Pocahontas’ mother) – Big-Wampum (middle aged man, Pocahontas’ father)

The Plot (such as it is):-
Pocahontas is here with some of her old friends: John Smith (of course), Captain Samuel Argall and Japazaws. But she also has some new friends. There is Maw, Paw, Little-Wampum, Babbling-Water, Wheels and Gofar, Big-Wampum, Hocus-Pocus and more.
Betrothed to the evil Japazaws when she was very young Pocahontas has become of age and is fearful she will have to marry him. She dreams of a handsome brave coming to save her. Her friend and confidant is Maw and Maw’s friend the bear called Paw. Maw was abandoned in America many years before by her lover Samuel Argall. When he returns he brings with him John Smith with whom Pocahontas falls in love. They want to marry, but the matter of the betrothal has to be resolved. It appears all is lost when, with the help of Wheels, Gofar and Captain Argall, Japazaws kidnaps and bewitches Pocahontas. Samuel, in the mean time has to try desperately to avoid Maw for fear of his life. In the end Pocahontas’s friends gather to save her and all ends happily-ever-after. Even Maw gets her man and the long dreamed of marriage.
And don’t forget this is pantomime not history. (-back-)

Although there are eighteen scenes, but there are only 9 sets to be considered.

Production:-
There is probably nothing in this pantomime that you have not tackled before. There are small scenes in front of the tabs between the main scenes to allow time for the set changes. If it is possible it is good if you can have a row of trees in front of the tabs for the short scenes.
