Although this is my site and these are my plays, so far, I do have help from friends and relatives. I now have someone to proof read the plays. They still may not be perfect, but it will eliminate some mistakes. So it is about us rather than just me.
So what is OAKRIFF all about?
OAKRIFF is a source of stage play scripts. It was set up by me, John Furse, primarily to share with you the stage plays I have written.
I know, from frustrating experience that finding a script to suit your needs is the most difficult obstacle to overcome when planning your next production. I have spent many a fruitless hour in our local Drama Library trying to match a ‘good’ play to the cast available in the amateur drama group of which I am a member. So I had this idea and hope that I could present you with scripts that will relieve the frustrations of not being able to find that elusive ‘ideal’ play. All my plays have been written with our group in mind; so if we can do them they should work for your group as well

WHAT YOU CAN HAVE
You can have as many scripts as you feel you need to produce a play. The scripts are in A5 format and wire bound, A5 because they are small enough to be held comfortably. They are spiral bound so that you don’t have to bend stiff covers back as you’re stood on stage trying to find your next line.
Alternatively you can NOW download our plays to your Amazon Kindle or the Kindle APP on your mobile device. How cool is that? And what’s even cooler is that they are about half the price of the printed versions. If you want to go straight there then click on the little grey Kindle over on the right
All my plays are copyrighted so I’m sorry you’ll need licence to perform them for as many nights as you require. And, of course, copying the scripts is illegal as well. But of course you knew all that sort of stuff
And how much is all this going to cost you?
Scripts for plays will cost you £7.50 each (including p&p). A licence to perform a play is charged at £30.00 per performance. There is a reminder of the costs with each play should you want to produce it.
Being new we can only supply scripts to UK groups at present. I would dearly love to share them with you in your country and this is my aim for the future. So do call back to see what is happening. (-back-)
THE SITE
Here in the site you will find full details of the plays available to help you decide if the play is what you really want. In the details you can find: cast lists, character descriptions, a synopsis of the plot and notes on the production of the play. There are also plans and diagrams of the set.
